California's government is broken. Chris believes we need a new constitution and a new respect for open, accountable government.


Most California business owners obey the law, respect their customers, and are good corporate citizens. But some companies, big and small, take advantage of their customers. Chris will work tirelessly to prosecute and publicly embarrass those who defraud customers or make false claims about their products and services.


As California's chief law enforcement officer, Chris will implement a strategic plan to reduce crime, coordinated with the District Attorneys, Sheriffs and Police Departments in each of California's 58 counties.


I will work side by side with state environmental officials and California residents to protect California's environment for the long term.


Chris believes that California needs a combination of prevention, intervention and enforcement strategies to combat gang violence on a wide level.


As Attorney General, Chris will work with California law enforcement to develop the methods and technology to track the activity and capture identity thieves.


Chris will be dedicated to making the Attorney General's office the most effective cybercrime fighting force in the world.


Discrimination, in any form, at any time, is just plain wrong. Proposition 8 violates equality and fundamental fairness.


Chris believes that we need to rethink the way we handle incarcerations, criminal justice, and safety.


Sadly, many seniors and "vulnerable adults" are targets of crimes ranging from telemarketing fraud to patient abuse in nursing home facilities.


It is crucial to the safety and well being of all California residents, including those who serve as law enforcement officials, to focus on reducing crime.
