
CHRIS KELLY FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES LAW ENFORCEMENT ENDORSEMENTS
Palo Alto — Today the Chris Kelly for Attorney General campaign announced endorsements from Asst. Sheriff of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Paul Tanaka, the Vice President of the Sacramento Asian Peace Officers Association Randy Kajioka and the Association of Deputy District Attorneys, citing his experience working with Attorneys General across the country to reduce crime.
"I'm proud to endorse Chris Kelly for Attorney General because he's the only candidate in the Democratic primary with truly innovative ideas about how to reduce crime, increase accountability and work with law enforcement to keep communities safe," said Paul K. Tanaka, Mayor of Gardena and Assistant Sheriff, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. "He brings a wide array of experience that is unparalleled in this race, and he's earned my vote because I know he's going to be an Attorney General we can count on to get the job done."
As a policy analyst for President Bill Clinton, Chris Kelly worked on groundbreaking policy matters to reduce crime, including helping craft the initiative to put 100,000 new cops on the street.

An attorney and businessman, Kelly brings the right mix of experience in public policy, technology and law to fight traditional crime and combat new crimes of today - like identity theft and online sexual predators. After graduating from Harvard Law School, Kelly worked for a federal judge assisting on a wide range of criminal and civil cases, including drug smuggling and money laundering. Kelly then came home to work for a Palo Alto law firm, representing innovators and entrepreneurs, including Netscape in the Microsoft anti-trust case.
After serving as a domestic policy advisor to President Clinton, Kelly was the chief legal counsel at Facebook, where he led efforts to protect the safety and security of the online community and worked with all fifty Attorneys General to crack down on online sexual predators.
